I only meant to plant one Windhaven Blush, but I received two "Wyn's Aspen Glow" in a trade, that I planted right next to it, and oops, now I have 3 Windhaven Blush. All three big and budding out like crazy.
I think the photo shows blooms from two plants.
I think the Baja may be my favorite new dahlias so far. Better than the pics on the website.
I spent the morning at the Tacoma test garden. Many plants were not yet in bloom, but there were a few real beauties showing. I took pictures which I will download later so we can watch them. LOTS of open centered types this year. Is that true at the Oregon Test Garden too, Ted and Linda?

I haven't grown Mexico, but the color on the Baja looks a bit darker and richer than pics I have seen of Mexico - but that could be my shady garden too.
A Most beautiful competitor coming at the test garden for Mexico and Baha types...It is cotton candy pink...AND BIG. Big Plant, big flower. Its the first one of this years that I "NEED."...

Sport of AC Twister that I am thinking of calling Raspberry Mocha Twist
(it continues to be a strong stable bloom with plants over 5 ft. tall..would make a great Cafe Au Lait substitute here)

Not a great picture of Lauren Michelle, but it's what I've got.
Jon, I NEED a Raspberry Mocha Twist from You! It looks a lot like my KA's Cloud which I love but was only able to get one plant going of. My AC Twist last year was not terribly beautiful, lavender streaked through white, but without the Mocha. I will see what it looks like this year.

Noni, I REALLY need to get busy and make some cuttings!! I can't let this one go!
Here is my first "Purple Flame" from Cowlitz River Dahlias. The camera doesn't pick up that it is glowing like neon! The backs of the petals are almost black as is the foliage. Fantastic!

Wow - everything looks so great. I am still a week away from blooms. Everything is so slow this year. I have Mexico which should bloom soon; will post a picture when it is open.
Well, I do have this one:
