What was labeled HH Flamingo bloomed butter yellow with the faintest "flamingo" blush on the backs of the back petals. I am wondering whether it is a mutant or a mislabel. Its a nice (Probably an A size but I haven't measured )

Nice blooms Noni - the Bloomquist Tori is really sweet. & Cynthia the foliage on the single is amazing. I have never seen dahlia foliage that dark.
I got my first bloom on HH Bill M, which I have been looking forward to - love it (looks even better today)
And - this is marked Monet Glory - but has none of the peach blush - does that happen regularly? Or is it possibly mis-labeled?
Another new Orchid - Destiny's Blessing - not as exciting as some of the other new ones I have.
I have two plants of Sorbet in this year - both looking great
I bought Sorbet from Christie Parks and it is looking great! that was to replace a virused one I had previously.
Unfortunately my one plant of Bloomquist Tori is showing virused leaves today. I wonder whether I could try the trick with cuttings and see if a stem tip might not be infected yet. That is probably a pipe dream and I have seen no selling it this year so maybe it is singing its swan song...darn! So far its lookalike, Pearl Diver is looking better then last year.

Geof, I don't recall the foliage being as dark in OR, but it is definitely VERY dark here. And the color of the bloom is darker, also.
Same with Alfa Max:
Alfa Max looked a lot more ORANGE in OR, but it looks more purplish here.
Some others, today:

Unfortunately the camera on my tablet isn't the greatest for color quality. Apologies for that.

It's not as dark as it should be, I realize. It's in full sun, 98º, and in a picture taken with a camera that messed up the color even more. I will try to get a better picture of it next time.

Country Seeetheart is a big bush at the grow , should have lots of blooms before long , I planted it where it would be partly shaded by a taller dahlia as I was not as fond of the color grown in direct sun for 10 hours + last year , a wee bit of shade really makes the colors pop .

We grew this in 2014 and it was a scrawny plant with very few blooms , went for some new stock and gave it a try this year , nice fat sturdy plant with lush foliage and loaded with laterals and buds .
Sandia Shomei
I have two new Sandia Shomei form two different sources this year. The first flower is about to open, and I noticed it is already taller then I remember it being before. I hope my new source was the same as yours, Benny, but I don't remember who it was. I think my other source was Swan Island.

Cynthia - great flowers. Love the Enchantress - from what is visible. I thought Lady Darlene was yellow and red?

Noni , my S Shomei stock came from Birch Bay this time , not sure where that last stock came from I believe it was a bonus tuber from somewhere .

My Lady Darlene is closer to burnt orange colors than red & yellow - but the form is right. (I think?)
hmmm........though when I google it maybe not. I ordered it this year. Its a big flower, and I like it, but maybe its not Lady Darlene.

I have been enjoying Orange Pekoe from Old House Dahlias. Bronze foliage and flowers are intense for the first few days before the sun faded them a bit.

Noni, I love the depth of bloom on your seedling Wild Berry Sorbet! How do you think it will hold up as a cut? Any stem length to speak of?
Jon, it was a lovely one to work with today. I am not sure how long the stem was but not too short. And I think it was about 40" tall last year. It isn't there yet this year. I hope to get that fertilizing done this week with a temporary Wwoofer who arrives Monday. THen we will see how tall she grows.Yes, my sweet Wild Berry Sorbet held up real well. Maybe you should test it next year? It would probably fade badly but it would be interesting to see how it does in Florida. IT seems to have good substance.

Bo-de-o a nice bright yelliw flower on a healthy bush. It's not sure if it wants to be laciniated or formal though.
Hollyhill Purely Purple is getting ready to explode. I think I planted a dozen of them.

Honnat, Bo De O always did that to me, too, even in OR.
Sylvia, Lady Darlene is supposed to be red and yellow, you're right. That's why the question mark and blinking emoticon. It's got the red going (my tablet shifts waaaaaay over to blue), but it may be that the heat has tweaked it, or it may be that this is the first year it's blooming, but there is NO yellow on it so far. I think the form is right though, so I'm not giving up on it yet.
