I missed out on so many good ones in the race for tubers from HH. I'll be trying to collect some of those I missed this next season....if not from Ted then from others who obtained the tubers this year. HH Snowdrop has probably been my best one.

I hate the end of the season but it's ending with some fireworks. Just Married
That is a lovely "Just Married". I don't think I have grown that one. I haven't tried SB's Becky either. You have nice color on it. the Spiderwoman has been totally crazy in mty garden this year...she must like hot weather!
I have two lovely healthy dahlias growing in my back ramp garden. I would love to put names back with their faccs.
The first is a bb incurved cactus in coral and yellow grows 5' or taller
The 2nd is also coral and yellow 4' or shorter...it is covered in blooms! Is it a Swan Island Dahlia? Any one recognize it?

AC Leo is a beauty. Is it more of a coral color?
Your Hapet Hotspot pic looks like a painting. Pretty.

Hmmm... Guess choosing Picts from thumbnails on a cell phone is not the best idea. I'll try AC Leo again. Should be a nice solid red with a touch of yellow at the petal base. Doesn't fade to coral or confused reddish orange-- a nice cactus, to be sure. I've been wanting to grow it for years, and finally sourced it last year.
edited to say:
Ha! this one isn't right, either! Trying another image...
re-edited AGAIN to say:
thank goodness frost hasn't struck yet. Looks like I need to take another image of AC Leo! Geez oh petes! Hey, Andrea- didn't you use another bloom to get the proper color? What color was that 'balancing' bloom?

This is Ken's image, the only one I've seen online:
Here's another from my garden...

Hmm. Not sure what you mean about a balancing bloom, CC.
Ken’s image didn’t help! His looks more like the first one you posted.
I was trying to figure out if the color was similar to AC Thornbird (if you’re familiar with that one). I had asked Ken a couple years ago if he could think of any others with that coloring and he couldn’t think of any.
Leo looks like it might fit nicely with AC Hawk and AC MP. Love jewel tones!

Missing this group!
We had a great season here in Minnesota at Honken Dahlias. Hot and dry June-August gave way to a gorgeous September and even October. Below is a shot of Tuesdays wholesale harvest. I'll look for some interesting varieties and post again.

The Coralie tubers I bought from you Honnat were outstanding! Bloomed themselves silly.
I actually cut them down last weekend to make way for a harvest display. First time I’ve done that. Mother Nature usually zaps ‘em by now.

Czarny Charkter (darkest I have grown!)
Hollyhill Wedding Day and Formby Art
Valley Tawny
AC Twisp
All beauties! I’d love to grow Czarny Charkter and AC Twisp some day. I’m sure they won’t be easy to source.

Same, Andrea. Maybe it will be stocked by Honken Dahlias eventually. Thanks for posting these gorgeous photos, Nathan! And thanks again, Ted for the meeting notes.

I realized that this dahlia season has gone by without my usual posting of numerous photos. So, I captured this pic on the way to deliver a few flowers to my dear aunt. These are AC Sandra J and Clearview Magic. Quite a few of my varieties had unusual coloring this season, including Sandra J. Normally she is a beautiful salmon/pink color. I thought the blooms were beautiful anyway.
I lilke the combination of colors in your flowers. This time of year we see all kinds of changes in the colors which is kind of fun, knowing they are just the season ending. I Noticed it ws to be very hot in the NE right now. Is that affecting you?

Luckily we have nice weather with cooler nights. The tropical storms coming up the east coast have finally stopped. I’m grateful now for the nice days, blue skies and the fun blooms we are getting. I recently made an arrangement consisting of American Dawn, Lynn Slight and Robann Royal (sp?) that was gorgeous. Those 3 varieties were not affected by our hot, wet, humid summer and they have been pumping out beautiful blooms.
