We enjoy breeding new dahlias!
Hollyhill Red Funhouse has made some tubers and will be sold. I got a phone call from a customer wanting 3 tubers of it. It is not a classic show flower but there is nothing like it out there for a pure non fading, red large flower that is easy to grow. My worry is that some of them will revert back to variegated but in our garden they were all red this year.

Dungeness growing in Greg Deet's garden. It has made numerous tubers this year.

I did not score a Dungeness last year and am hoping very much to get one this season. Hopefully it makes enough tubers that I will be able to get one from someone.

I want to share seedling 18-16 with the people who like Dungeness as it is a slightly smaller version and perhaps you could say if the Dungeness birdnest size was that of a crow's nest( the real thing not the nautical term) , seedling 18 16 would be the size of a robin's nest.

I am diving clumps and will see how many 1816 tubers we have.

Oooh, that sounds promising! I would love to try that one! What kind of a play could you make off of Dungeness for a name for it? Sand Crab?
