Old picture taken with my dslr and the setting was on adobe instead of srgb. If that is confusing, adobe is a color gamut that includes more purple colors. With some tweeking and then conversion to srgb you can see more purple; in this case probably too much purple. Woodlands Taco time is on the left and it is bit immature. HH Regal is on the right and I wish it was really that purple.

A work in progress: Margaret goes through a creative process when doing her arrangements. One of her strengths is arranging the various elements of the design. The flowers used to do this are just what is sitting around, sometimes a week old.

This digital picture was taken in 2001 using a borrowed camera, a Canon G1. A tripod was used(almost necessary to get good shots then). The picture was taken in a greenhouse and a black cloth was behind the flower. It is Hollyhill Dark Victory and we got some good stock of it and are growing it again. Prior to 2001, digital cameras were very expensive and then Canon brought out their G series that was somewhat affordable. Grandpa bought a G1 and I got to borrow it occasionally.

Noni's picture posted to Face book and My remarks:
I really like this picture. I like the the fact it is very wide and gives you a lot to look at . I like the contrasting colors and the foliage in the upper right seems to reflect the color of the flowers below. I like the fact that the flowers are artistically arranged in an informal manner and the colors are cheery especially on this dreary winter day.. And I like the "mystery' element in the upper middle of the picture that initially looks like a giant beetle. but is in fact a a flower bud. Good job Noni!
And Noni resonded:
Thank you so much ! I had never noticed the "mystery" element, probably because I knew that it was a cosmos bud. I think you know that Hello Dolly is my favorite of all your dahlias i have tried. I have been thinking about my flower business and what retiring from it means and it definitely doesn''t mean I don't want to grow flowers or make bouquets! I just want to do it without all the heavy labor

This pic is going to make me break out in song and silliness on this miserable day in NY...
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May.
Well, I guess you'd say.
What can make me feel this way?
Flowers, flowers, flowers.
Talking ‘bout flowers...flowers!

from the coloring on those hydrangeas that was probably taken about September...I loved taking photos of my flower harvests when I had them collected and was ready to start working on them : .Now, new adventures await...This time I need to think seriously about how make this work for me for the longest time as age takes it toll on the body. But what a great challenge...If we are lucky we all age....

Some artsy pictures of dahlia virus (and a couple I don't know whether it's virus) from my Flickr albums. I have all 4 years of pictures from my virus tests up now. Do keep in mind that I didn't usually take pictures of healthy leaves, so you're only seeing the ones with markings, even in the "Tested Clean" albums.
The pictures are in albums by date, and they are also cross-indexed, so there are also albums with the same pictures arranged by test results, such as “TSV Only†or “TSV + INSVâ€. In addition there are other albums for "mystery problems".
Click on the album you want, and that album will appear, with a header at the top, and big thumbnails of the pictures it contains below it. Click on the first (or any) of those thumbnails to get into the album in slideshow format where you can view the photos one at a time and see their full titles and descriptions (I find I have to scroll down a little to see the description below each photo.) The titles are to identify the sample number, the plant and the photo. The descriptions are where I put the test results and brief comments like "parent plant and cutting were planted in different beds but developed same kind of spots". Clicking on the picture will get you an enlarged version of it, click again to get back.
2015 Zorro, ringspot from some sort of virus, before testing became available.

Kinda pretty though, if you don't know they aren't supposed to look like that!

Cute picture of seedling 1825 that was barely kept to plant again in 2020. We have but 3 tubers and this BB sized informal flower is on the precipice of existence. Will this picture cause lots of enthusiasm or will it be a victim of that new modern word "MEH"(popularized by the Simpsons)?
