THat looks like a good cut flower with its good closed center. I am pretty sure the fringy petals wouldn't work for showing but Also pretty sure that cut flower buyers would love them.

Thanks Noni, that is what I was thinking too. Not a shower, but pretty in a bouquet.

Sorry in advance for the photo dump.
First time growing N-Force (1) and it will definitely be returning to my garden. The color blending and picotee sold me right from the first bloom. First photo was taken after sunset with my Sony A7IV and the second photo is during sunset with my Google Pixel 6 Pro. My Vassio Meggos (2) blooms were very underwhelming this year (shallow blooms and quick to go to an open center) but I made do with this angle for a photo just to show them at their best. I'm not 100% but I believe this is Pineland's Princess (3). My girlfriend bought it at a dollar store the other year and it somehow managed to survive a cold cold winter left in the ground. Clearview Jonas (4) is in a shady spot and grew a huge plant. Maggie C (5) is back! Mercury (6) managed to make a good first impression. It's my first year growing Hollyhill Black Beauty (7), also a great bloom. It's also the first year I've actually managed to get a bloom from Edna C (8)! Every time I've grown it the plant dies on me. River's Watermelon (9) is so prolific it towers over River's Phoenix which didn't grow taller than 4" (and is now dying). I've got quite a few more pictures but I'll save those for another time.

N-Force was one I was particularly excited about this year but had to cull. I have a new tuber coming next year - hoping for better luck! How were the stems for you Eric? Seems like I read that it’s a more compact plant…

I grew N-Force also. It's really striking. Love the Maggie C. I'll have to try it again.

I may have some Maggie C tubers for trade next season. I got my tuber from Connell's this year and immediately got to work with cuttings and got about 5 plants. I've got about 30 plants of Just Married from the two tuber clumps I dug up last year. I probably would have had about 60 plants if it weren't for quite a few of them getting zapped by the sun one day.

Your dry climate should be conducive to good tuber production.

I sure hope so! It'd be nice to be able to share and trade tubers from this year.

Sorry I almost missed responding to this. It's about 3.5'-4' tall in my garden. The stems seem flimsy until the flower gets to blooming then they stiffen pretty well. I've only had a few blooms so far.
Emily, I Love your flower! That is a beautiful color and fun to work with

Thanks for posting your pics, Eric. I like Maggie C. If Connell’s pic looked that nice I probably would have ordered one!
Don’t be shy… I’d love to see more of what you grew.

You're welcome! It doesn't take much to motivate me to share more.
1 - Bloomquist Jean is looking way better this time around with this second bloom. 2 - Nick Sr. is still one of my favs. 3 - Hollyhill Ripple is still looking good. 4 - River's Yellow Snow is a better version of Korb's Yellow Hy-Lite in my climate. I can't get enough of 5 - Hollyhill Electra. One bloom from my 30+ 6 - Just Married plants. Another of my mislabeled tubers I've got a feeling it's probably 7- Snoho Doris. I made the mistake of planting 8 - Hollyhill Margarita right next to my HH Electra plants and they're competing for attention with their crazy colors. 9 - Show 'N' Tell lookin' like it normally does. 10 - AC Marlene was a nice variegated addition. 11-Verrone's Obsidian plant is now being overrun by cucumber beetles and they're spreading quick. I managed this photo last week before one section of my garden got swarmed. 12 - Wyn's Ghostie is another I've tried a few times and never got a bloom. It's planted in a section next to Spartacus, Edna C, Vassio Meggos, and Steve Meggos. The effect isn't quite there since they aren't all in bloom at the same time.

Eric, every time I see a picture of River’s Yellow Snow I think it looks so pretty.
But then, as a dog owner, I just … can’t get over that name.

It is quite the name. I'm glad I got it as a bonus tuber, it kinda made up for my Ova-Joy from another order dying.

The breeder of Rivers Yellow Snow, Eugene Kenyon, says it makes lots and lots of tubers. It is related to Sharky, also a Cornel bicolor seedling and Sharky makes lots of tubers. And Cornel makes lots of tubers as do some other sports of Cornel. For the historians here in the group, who bred Cornel?

Re Cornel: Someone from the Netherlands, but I'm going to have to phone a friend. Haha.
It's my first year growing this one. I have 10 plants and they were given optimal conditions to grow but I'm giving Westerton Ella Grace a thumbs down. Late bloomer. Chonky stems. Odd green center that never develops, even with the nice cool weather we've been having. She looks so darn pretty in UK photos. She's not a fan of PA.
