Recently I was asked to provide bouquets for a photo shoot featuring outdoor entertainment. Check out these screen shots from a local magazine showing off the dahlias from yours truly....

Why did they make the the people clear and the bouquet blurry in that one picture? It should have been the other way around.
Great looking flowers!!!

I bet the photographer took several hundred pictures to get these "candid" shots. The flowers do not mind but the people were probably getting pretty tired of big smiles.

I love the pickle jars in the tree. My neighbors would call the town and have me committed if I hung my Dahlias in the maple tree out front. But I might do it any way. lol

It does look like pickles!
How come there aren't dahlias floating in those fancy drinks?? Everything else seems to be floating in there!
Jon, your dahlias are the best part of the entire thing!

Western New York State Dahlias! Dahlias! Dahlias!
AC Big Johnson
Creme De Cassis
AC Loomis
Unfortunately, one of the contractors yesterday backed into and broke off Hollyhill Zarina before its buds couid open. Here's hoping with some pruning and replanting, she can grow on as an independent plant.
Geof, Nice pics of Abbey. I am loving it too as it opens in my garden. All my Blossom Gulch plants are super healthy and look great. I am really impressed with them. I will be buying more from them.

Caliente and what it looks like in a bouquet.

What a lovely little bouquet! What are the other white & lavender flowers?
I think your Caliente might be Azteca instead, from the shape of the petals. Around here, it starts out red at the beginning of the season, and goes into a more orange and yellow phase if the temperatures get hot.

Great bouquet, Viking! And 'Caliente' is great in it!
I just adore how flowers never seem to clash with each other even though the colors shouldn't 'go' together!

Kim, I really like Creme de Cassis, and it's aptly named - it does look like a creamy black currant!

Second year for this Purple sport of Ms Zelda , we simply call her " Purple Zelda "

Purple is one of those "magic" colors that every likes and wants. If you want to enter it in the trial gardens, it has to stay purple for three years. That makes it tough to enter sports of variegated flowers in the trial gardens. You of course, could just introduce it and not worry about trial gardens scores and all that.

Two Plants here , one reverted back to the original verigated color this plant has been solid purple so far , think I have a couple more planted at the grow , beautiful shade of purple though , I will continue to mess with it to see where it goes .
