Is it wallpaper when you hold three flowers up against the wall?
Margaret wanted a picture of one of these flowers but it looked "lonely" by itself and a second flower was added but that was not enough. The flower on the right is sport of Bewitched. The top flower is HH Liz when it changes color to be pink in the late Fall. And the lower flower is our 2017 seedling.
I would take that for wallpaper :-). They are so pretty together and I love Liz! You haven't sold her yet have you? Such a pretty pink WL also!

Hollyhill Liz won a medal at the trial gardens several years ago. It is a dark blend of purple and white. It has superb form and does not make a lot of tubers although it does make some. I grew two plants of it this year and they both did very well. It turns pink in the Fall as it runs out of purple pigment.
Debating whether to grow bells of Ireland next season. They take a bit of work to prepare for arranging

We have been growing this BB sized red seedling for 6 years now. It makes easy keeping tubers but the form does not meet the show standards in this most competitive class. I will grow it another year and why not as it is so easy to grow?
Ted, I would like to test that one as a cut flower. I NEED good bb sized red cut flowers and easy keeping tubers would be lovely. Does it have stems strong enough to hold the flowers up?

Yes, it has fine stems and Dan Pearson noticed it when he cruised our gardens this year. When we released HH Code Red, this 13-36 took a back seat to it. 13-36 is a shade lighter red than Code Red and both are excellent tuber makers. I will get Margaret to name it something besides 13-36.
Genetically, 13-36 comes down from Odyssey through HH Fireball. Code Red is a seedling of the Chimacum Troy x Barbarry Red Dwarf seedling. Code Red got better form from those big time show flowers.

Sorry Noni, I have been offline for a week and am just catching up. I used the PicsArt app free version. Here is another simple collage that I like. Unfortunately, I can't remember which dahlia is in the large pic.
I'm looking forward to having time to try those, Tina! Right now its all about harvesting and cutting up dahlias but winter is long and needs games with color and flowers! Someone should invent a winter game for dahlia growers where we can invent new varieties....
