I can't wait to have time to make bouquets again! I did make one the other day, just not of dahlias...it had autumnalis cherry blossoms and little pink "Rubykins" pussywillow blooms...now the cherry blossoms have faded but the little catkins are now big sleek silvery kitties...

The person who did the pumping work was a woman. They were a two person team and the young man(19) was an excellent operator of the exotic back hoe machine that could give you a very close shave if you chose to lay on the ground and allow him to attach a razor to the bucket. She was an expert with the huge truck and hoses and the actual pumping. Part of our chit chat was what kind of washer machine could clean very dirty clothes as she washed them every day. The old fashioned agitator machines are what she uses but she may switch to a front loader. The top loader without an agitator was not on her list. I am not going to post pictures of the operation.

How “ old fashioned “ of me to think the crew to be all men , Locally there are two families here that do it and both the guys are probably a little older than my parents , yeah you can hold the photos as I have seen the process several times
