Mine weren't droopy, they were just very short and crooked. It is still one of my top 5 personal favorites but I couldn't grow it well enough to use commercially. I think you should do some crosses to improve her habits.

The ever alluring Kelgia Ann. Subpar tuber maker but I enjoy growing her for my own enjoyment.
I don't generally grow the fimbriated dahlias since I am working on cut flowers and they do not keep as well. However, I am so glad I have these two,Lakeview Kaboom and Tahoma Tactic. Sometimes I just like to try something different in my garden!

Noni, I’m really hoping to add Tahoma Tempest to my garden this next year. It looks like such a fun flower. Waiting for the Connell’s sale!
Yes, there were a lot of the Connell ones I wanted that I wasn't able to get. I wonder if they are continuing to breed new ones since Les passed or if these were among his last ones. I do hope that some of his offspring have that passion for creating new varieties.

Growing Tahoma Tactic and Tahoma Tempest this year....Not impressed with either.
Not sure how T Tempest got classified as a stellar...definitely LC . Not much ? revolution ? on the petals of T Tactic .

Noni, IIRC, last year the website indicated these were some of Les’s flowers that hadn’t yet been introduced. Or maybe it was mentioned in a email before the sale.
Yes, I know these were some of Les' last flowers. I just hope his family continue with the genetic lines he had going. I get the feeling that it is more a business then a passion with them and hope there is some passion as well.

Here’s a picture of Avignon. Vancouver is another one in this style. Will post when it blooms.

I believe those are all sports of Akita (I might be mistaken).
