My Bloomquist Harmony was quick to bloom too. Started out really saturated, but did fade in the heat the last few days. This was before it had really opened much.

What was your source on Bloomfield Harmony? As far as I know only Les Connell and Red Hawk sell the Bloomquist varieties. Honnat, will you be selling them? I hope so!

I'm not sure, but I think I got it from Red Hawk. I just have two plants and probably won't sell it next year. I could be convinced to trade for some Bloomquist Tory P. Whistling

Ahhhh! Its A deal if I can get enough Tory P for myself. I had to rip out at least one for virus and the others are on virus watch. I am hoping to have enough Tory P for all of us who want her, but you go in line right after anyone I already promised it too. Our days have been warm enough that she is very light in color right now, but as the weather cools she will be back to her enchanting "baby cheeks" pink.

Questions:

This came labeled as Skipley Bonanza. I like it a lot, but it is supposed to be red and white? I can't imagine that the heat here changed the red and white to orange and yellow. Cannot figure out what it is even going though the seller's site.
Thumb of 2017-07-24/sylviap/fd128b

Skipley Spot - I'm ambivalent about the spot - they are not uniform and sometimes not at all. But the Skipley [red] I love! It's the best red I've been able to grow. It looks like it oversaturated the camera. It's not muddy or on the blue side.
Thumb of 2017-07-24/sylviap/79144b

NOID - Could this be Just Peachy? I didn't grow it last year and thought I gave it all away, but there are 2 NOIDs that look just like this. This one is not fully open.

What a very nice selection of varieties, Sylvia! And looking good! If you have any extra of Dikara Jodi when you divide them I would love to try it!

I was surprised by the faint pink tint to Daisy Adair but I love it...so delicate!

Sylvia - Skipley Bonanza has been a favorite of mine for years - but never looked like that.

I am happy! The plant I had labled HH Spiderwoman is now blooming and it IS Spiderwoman! And the plant looks healthy too at this point! I am glad because I sold a couple of cuttings from it to people who were desperate to add this one back into their gardens...and it is NOT a mislabel Hilarious! I picked one about half open to bring into the house (Also because it had a 3" stem sitting in the center of the plant, and it is opening out nicely. I can see now I should pick it earlier for market then I have been doing.

Gorgeous dahlias, Sylvia. Love Mary P and AC Outlander. I don't know if you have a sport of Skipley Bonanza or if it's a temperature thing, but the gold tips are usually just as Geof has shown. If it's a sport, I would love to grow it. though the normal version is very nice as well.

We enjoy breeding new dahlias!
Skipley Bonanza did not pass in the Canby trial garden during a hot summer. It looked like your picture. It needs cooler weather to look good.
