Benny, Gee, can't tell you like pink at all.......... But yes, I liked all those ones too. Glad you picked out the pale pink one I like. Don't normally go for the pale pinks but this one catches my eye with its lavender center.

I am noticing that I have a pink shortage this year. Lots of purples, fuschias, and some lavenders, but I don't have much for a mostly pink arrangement. I have Chilson's Pride, Amy K, and Alloway Candy. The rest lean toward peachy pink, or orangy pink. Maybe I should trade with you for next season Benny
I ordered several Pink Dahlias from Ferncliff Gardens and also have several more to try this next season.
A collage of the pinks I was planning for this year....I think they are all coming through., though not sure Miss Sarah has bloomed yet. I know she is healthy and budded.
Ms Ruthie and Janet Leigh are quite prolific for me right now. I used lots of Janet Leigh for the "Summer colors" special order with blue hydrangeas last weekend. This is of Ms Ruthie. I think she is loosing her coral tones now and more pinkie pink. . I'm getting lots of Ms Ruthie also.
Janet Leigh is small and delicate and paler and pouring out LOTS of flowers.

I am liking Ms Ruthie A LOT. And the first extra tuber I have has Cynthia's name on it because I know she has been trying to get it for several years. Annie, Probably a good one for you too. Its small enough I think it might be less damaged by extreme heat. I have 3 or 4 plants of it so hopefully there will be tubers to share. Our temperatures have been 10-15 degrees above normal for weeks and those 2 (Ruthie and Janet) look just fine.

Oh Annie I'm sure we could come up with something pink to trade :-)
Noticing that we have very few in " white " and the ones we do have are not open yet , thinking it would be nice to try a new white intro this year of some kind , oh and maybe a pink one too

Noni, the closest thing I had to Ruthie was Janice, but she was lost to the polar vortex this winter.
Benny, you really mean NEXT year don't you??? I've got a great white alpha noid ?Brookside Snowball? to share. I'll need to post lots of pics this year to get help with ID's.

Visited the Longwood Trial gardens today where they had about 15 varieties of dahlias growing. Here's some pictures. I had some definite favorites and was great to see what is growing locally, some of the bushes were huge! They also planted same varieties pretty closely together it looked like.

I have more but my email has decided to crawl at a snails pace and not send them properly from my phone...
The Wanda was one of my favorites, the colors were beautiful and the blooms were definitely all over. I have another pic of it farther away that I'll post once my email comes through.
