That was a very nice color pattern on that Crazy Ivan. They can have some white on them, or none at all.....crazy! They are also an A size.

I loved Asia. The color, the form, show quality, a nice amount of blooms, and a decent tuber maker. It's going into the greenhouse so that I can start cuttings.

Haha that is funny it was a mislabel, because I just love it!

Portia, it was a great dahlia. I guess It will have to have a name before it goes in my sales catalog. I think Noni wanted to call it Caramel Kiss (?) I will have to look it up.

Does Joshua P always have asymmetrical coloring? It makes it really stand out for me.

That's pretty typical for Joshua P. No one carries it commercially any more , and it's pretty much just a garden flower: small blooms, and a little on the short side (24"-30"). I will have a few available when my list comes out.

Purple Mist sure caught my eye, but then I definitely seem to be drawn to the purples. Luckily, so do the locals.
THis is my Maggie C. Are you sure yours is Maggie C, CC? Maybe they are different Maggie C's? Mine was magnificant this summer...always in bloom and always beautiful... IT was popular at the market too..It was so floriferous I think I might save space and only grow one this year.

I was also thinking that Maggie C wasn't id'd right. It is a deeply lacienated bloom. I have seen show results with it winning best in show. I grew it two seasons and it was the most lush in the garden but wouldn't put any buds on till late season. I think I only had a partially open bloom once before frost.

I had the same problem with that one, Honnat. Two seasons, with only a couple weeks of blooms even when started early under the lights. I reluctantly decided not to grow it, though I'm tempted. I know that Drew (an hour away from me) doesn't seem to have that problem, though. If a tuber slipped into my bins, it would find its way into my beds again.

That's what it came labeled as. I will just toss it into the NOID pile. Sometimes gift tubers don't turn out so well.

Do you have any Kaleidoscope for trade or sale? I can never seem to get it , like ever. I never got Mel's Louisa to grow properly, but I will not give up. Very nice pics!

Tod, let me check my inventory. I have grown this stock of Kaleidoscope for years now. Almost lost it last winter, and I'm hoping it's not some of those I left in the garden. Ran out of time between the weather and several family emergencies.
